DOWNTOWN RORY HOUND (CARRIAGE DRIVER) is from the streets and proud to still feel very connected to his old neighborhood. Briefly in trouble with the local dog-catchers, Rory was given a choice: find a job, or go behind bars. Rory enrolled in acting school, and was surprised to find himself immediately recognized for his workshop portrayal of BRICK in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. Rory's smoldering masculinity brought rave reviews, and Downtown Rory Hound's career was launched. Today known to be one of the wealthiest dogs in his profession, Rory has devoted himself to philanthropy when not at work in front of the camera.
ROBIN LEASH (SEBASTIAN THE BUTLER) studied Shakespeare as well as dentistry before settling down into his life as a major Superstar. Having headlined eight movies that grossed over a million dollars a piece at the box office, the name Robin Leash is known around the world for comedy and entertainment. A former contestant on Dancing with the StarDogs, Leash is as comfortable on television as he is on stage in London. Not content to appear only in front of the camera, Leash has also directed, most notably the indie favorite P.S. YOUR CAT IS DEAD. A known hit with the opposite sex, Leash is today a spokesperson for The Perfect Sleeper Dog Bed.
KIZZIE CARCHASE (DETIE THE SOCIAL WORKER) is an actor's actor. Always working, either as a beloved character performer, or as an acclaimed acting teacher, Carchase will literally run past other performers with her talent and dedication. ROBBIE KIBBLE (PETER) is a name that means two things: quality and artistry. A serious actor who long ago made the decision to pursue parts that were both demanding and often unconventional, Kibble's career has taken him around the world to work on projects of interest and dramatic import. Recognized for such diverse roles as his breakout in A KENNEL WITH A VIEW and his stage work in STUFF HAPPENS, Kibble's participation in 4 Paws raises the bar for the other performers. Known to be a very strong and athletic dog, Kibble runs marathons and climbs mountains.
COCO VAN NILLA (HEIDI) makes her film debut as Heidi with 4 Paws. Enormously talented, young Coco has been seen on stage, including a national road tour of the Broadway hit URINETOWN, where she played young Sally. Coco, while diminutive, is also a recognized dancer, and teaches other dogs how to do intricate moves when not herself at work.
TIMMY TREMBLECHIN (ALSO KNOWN AS CALVIN COLLARBONE, plays the DOCTOR) is THE Irish actor of his generation. Recognized internationally for his daring role in THE BARKING GAME, Mr. Collarbone is an audience favorite on both sides of the pond. His sly wit and robust screen presence have led Collarbone to acclaim in all genres of film--from Sci-Fi and Romance, to Historical drama and Contemporary comedy. Always a delight and always a scene stealer, the 4 Paws troupe was thrilled to have Mr. Collarbone wag his tail with the rest of the talented cast.
NIGEL RATHBONE (GRANDFATHER) has headlined hit Broadway shows, multiple television series, and now a Coen Brothers film. A master comic, a beloved dramatic actor, Nigel has built his career on his enormous talent. The father of three young pups, Nigel takes on the role of Grandfather with great gusto, recalling great leading dogs of the past such as Lassie and Rin-Tin-Tin. Look for Nigel playing the part of Uncle Arthur in the film A SERIOUS DOG.
MAX BARKLEY narrates the story of HEIDI 4 PAWS. A wizard of voicework, Barkley makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee where he headlines an educational DVD series. Known for his large paws and his large personality, Barkley's talents have entertained young pups around the world.
HEAVENLY HIGHLANDS (GRANDMAMA) is an icon. For her work as an actress, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom appointed her a Commander of the Order of the British Empire. She was named a Disney Legend in 1995. She received a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997, Kennedy Center Honors in 2000, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. All of this, no doubt, was to prepare her for the role of Grandmama Sesehund. Known not just for her beauty, wit, intelligence and style, Heavenly has had admirers putting on their brakes for decades.
BONITA PERO (MISS ROTTENMEIER) was born in Venezuela, brought up as a pup in Miami, and because of entertainment, moved to Hollywood. Not just a talented bilingual actor, but also an extremely talented singer, Pero usually is cast as an ingenue. In HEIDI 4 PAWS, Pero takes on the role of the decidedly difficult Miss Rottenmeier. Pero is an acknowledged beauty, and would certainly have taken many Best of Shows, but for her reluctance to participate in the all important swimsuit category, always tricky for a hound with long limbs.
LADY BRANDY SNIFFER (CLARA AND FRAU RAGAZ) first went in front of the camera as a very young puppy. Her early years were spent learning the tricks of the trade as her depth of emotion and enormous heart captivated viewers in TV shows such as RICH DOG, POOR DOG and MY THREE PUPS, and film classics such as FRIDAY THE 13TH (PART 4). Today, Lady Brandy is not content to just act, but also writes scripts and is a work as a Producer.
ODIN VON TANNENMEISE (MR. SESEHUND) is a master of disguise playing parts in films, television and even commercials which so much authority, he slips right into the parts and becomes the characters. Daily Variety summed up Odin's work in recent quote with two words: "Bow WOW!!!". Known to be a dog of enormous charm, Odin brings not just the Tannenmeise pedigree to each film, but his incredible work ethic.
MARTIN FRANKFURTER (THE TEACHER) marks the first time Mr. Frankfurter has appeared on camera. A master of dialect, Frankfurter followed in the path of many a successful actor, working as a bartender before catching the eye of director Goldberg Sloan. Known by his friends as 'Furt', the actor has performed in comedy clubs in Denver and in Los Angeles, making the name FURT synonymous with laughter. Currently in training for a one-dog show, in many circles, Furt represents the future of comedy.
